Responsibilities: • Clinical Support: o Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments, materials, and equipment. Assist Dr. Naughton chairside during examinations and procedures (e.g., passing instruments, suctioning, and preparing materials). o Support procedures such as impressions, temporary crowns, suture removal, fluoride treatments, and sealants. Take, process, and mount dental radiographs (x-rays) in compliance with state regulations. o Clean, sterilize, and organize instruments, trays, and treatment areas. Monitor equipment to ensure it is clean, functional, and well maintained; report any issues to Dr. Naughton. In office presence required Monday–Wednesday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM. • Patient Care & Communication: Greet and prepare patients for procedures, collecting and updating medical history and vital signs as appropriate. Provide patients with post-operative instructions and ensure understanding of treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care when directed by the dentist or hygienist. Demonstrate empathy and professionalism in all patient interactions, supporting a positive patient experience. Administrative Duties: o Maintain accurate patient records, charts, and treatment notes in compliance with HIPAA and practice policies. o Monitor supply inventory and place orders as approved. o Provide occasional front office support, as needed. o Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
